Yvonne Bauman was born in Chur, Switzerland near the internationally famous resort of Davos, known for great skiing and the World Economic Forum.Yvonne began working in the resort restaurant business at the early age of 19. She worked in Davos during the winter season and moved to the Italian speaking region of Tessin,Switzerland for summer.
Yvonne developed her practical kitchen, service and restaurant management skills over the next years and decided to formalize her education by attending the Swiss Gastronomic and Restaurant Business School in Thurgau, Switzerland. She received her restaurant license to own and operate a full establishment with alcoholic beverages in 1988.
Since 1988, Yvonne has owned her own restaurant in Switzerlandas well as worked as a manager in one of Switzerland’s most respected restaurant chains “Feller” near Zurich. In 2008, Yvonne decided to bring her Swiss schooled restaurant management background and multi-cultural meal plan experience to her own restaurant in Alexandria Bay, New York. | Switzerland is bordered to the North by Germany, to the West, France, to the East, Austria and to the Southby Italy
